Not too long ago (about 6-8 years) people had to wait for 6 months to a year for a scooter to be delivered after making the advanced booking. More recently (about 2 years ago) booking a train ticket was a chore, similarly paying electricity bills demanded taking half a day leave from office! There was a time (10 years ago) when there was the “Chitrahaar” the most sought after TV music channel was aired on Friday evenings on the National TV (Doordarshan) and people waited for it with tremendous patience!
Now 10 years later we can buy a scooter of the shelf, online booking (you don’t even have to move your ass) of train tickets, same with paying electricity amongst other bill payment. Finally nobody waits for Chitrahaar anymore, there are so many TV music channels it is difficult to keep track with all sorts of video-music played, and if you are not satisfied with this there are DVDs.

I was thinking of the changes/innovations in and around us. I observed that change is happening everywhere. Be it in the manner of functioning of transport sector, postal services, telecommunications, ticket reservation etc.
Change is the need of the hour.
Change is also a part of how we students do our assignments. We no longer submit our assignments by writing it on a sheet of paper. Our assignments are posted on the college blog and we have to complete our assignments by posting a reply to the blog in stipulated time.So change is now an inevitable part of our lives.
Unless we incorporate change, we are sure to become obsolete. A classic example of this situation is the company producing cars, Premier Padmini. They were resistant to innovate themselves despite the competition and as a result, they cease to exist now.
Change is not just limited to only companies or organisations. It is applicable to everyone.
Each of us needs to innovate ourselves time and again to stay in tune with the rest of the world.
Hence one needs to constantly change/upgrade w.r.t the external environment & also change one's own self to be suitable with the changing times.
